What are savENRG® Freezer Packs?
savENRG® Freezer Packs are manufactured using a water-based phase change material (PCM). This material solidifies as the surrounding temperature drops from 0°C to -15°C (32°F to 5°F) releasing heat and then melts as the temperature rises from -15°C to 0°C (5°F to 32°F) absorbing heat.
Why are savENRG® Freezer Packs better than a standard cold pack?
savENRG® Freezer Packs work best in the range of -15°C to 0°C (5°F to 32°F) while standard cold packs work best in the range of -5°C to 5°C (23°F to 41°F).
When a standard cold pack is used to keep a product frozen below 0°C (32°F), the product generally reaches its destination cold at best, but not frozen.
savENRG® Freezer Packs safely keep a product frozen below 0°C (32°F) and can be charged in the same residential freezer as cold packs.
