What are savENRG® PCM Ambient Packs?
savENRG® Ambient Packs are manufactured using a water-based phase change material (PCM) that solidifies as the surrounding temperature drops from +25°C to +15°C (+77°F to +59°F), and melts absorbing heat as the temperature rises from +15°C to +25°C (+59°F to +77°F).
savENRG® PCM Ambient Packs provide an excellent alternative to standard gel packs for blood specimens, platelets, and medications.
Why are savENRG® Ambient Packs a sustainable substitute for ambient applications compared to standard gel packs?
savENRG® Ambient Packs are multi-use gel pack substitutes used to keep room temperature products between +15°C to +25°C (+59°F to +77°F).
Compared to gel packs, savENRG® Ambient Packs require no special safety or handling precautions, are non-hazardous, environmentally friendly, and provide consistent stability over multiple uses for thousands of cycles. Because savENRG® Ambient Packs operate at 22°C and have 1.5 times the density as compared to gel packs, they provide precise temperature control with smaller quantities that standard gel packs cannot match.
